Here’s a quick look at how two Leavitt Group agencies are making a difference in their local communities.

Webber Advisors

Webber Advisors in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, supports the local retirement home community through fundraising, donating, and as a gold partner with LeadingAge PA, the local state association for not-for-profit retirement communities. The agency is also passionately involved in the Greg & Cathy Griffith Family Foundation and the Alliance of Families Fighting Pancreatic Cancer. Greg, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2011, was a great friend and former co-worker of those in the agency. Webber employees were instrumental in establishing these foundations which are now some of the more visible within the pancreatic cancer community nationally.

Farmer Woods Group

Farmer Woods Group in Phoenix, Arizona, gave $10,000 to St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, the world’s first food bank, through a “Partners in Giving” donation from Nationwide Private Client. “We were honored to participate in the ‘Partners in Giving’ program, as our company has a long tradition of supporting local charities,” said Tim Woods, Farmer Woods principal. “We recognize their tireless and essential work within our community, and we are proud to play a supporting role in positively touching the lives of those among us who continue to face challenges.” St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance serves nearly all of Arizona’s 15 counties and distributed about 74 million pounds of food in the 2015-16 fiscal year.
