Michael Woods

Mike started at Farmer Woods Group, a Leavitt Group Affiliate, in 2021 as a Commercial Lines Insurance Producer. Farmer Woods Group is a locally owned and operated retail brokerage established in 1960. It is home to the very best the Valley has to offer in Commercial and Personal Insurance.

Born in Arizona, Mike attended St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School, Brophy College Preparatory, the University of Arizona and Arizona State University.

With broad creative interests outside of insurance, Mike has spearheaded a number of creative ventures over the years. As front man of an original Funk band, his music has allowed him to travel throughout the nation. In 2017, Mike founded Cool Again Productions, a film production company focusing on documentary work. He has produced a few smaller documentary films, including a short for the AHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, the Tucson Roadrunners, and for his most involved project, a documentary film titled “The Musaic”, Mike traveled the country interviewing musicians in 33 different states.

Prior to embarking on his insurance career, Mike spent almost 20 years in the restaurant industry. From washing dishes to bussing and serving tables, he remains part owner of Social Hall in Tempe with his best friend and business partner, Michael Kenney.

Mike has a proven track record of community involvement. He has participated in immersion trips, one-on-one mentorship programs, Special Olympics, volunteer basketball coaching, as well as keeping a long-standing relationship with those he mentored as an employee of the Gabel Boys and Girls Club. Currently, he is involved in various ways with the operation and development of a local non-profit for underprivileged youth called G Road.

Professionally, Mike is eager to add value to a wide variety of business segments through a robust menu of insurance and risk management resources. Long term security is essential in any successful business and Mike is fully committed to assisting his clients achieve this end with honesty, integrity, humility and professionalism. He prides himself on enjoying his work and fostering deep, meaningful, long-standing personal and business relationships.

Personally, Mike is all about spending time with family, wife Vanessa and three daughters.
