Roman Arroyo

Before working in the insurance industry, I owned my own business as a farm labor contractor for 14 years, which I got into as a promise to my dad. I joined Lincoln-Leavitt insurance when a client (who is now my boss) convinced me I would love a job in insurance because I love helping people solve everyday problems. She was right!

I'm proud of being from two cultures. Not only do I speak two languages, but I also think in two languages—English and Spanish. I'm genuinely interested in people and their cultures, and this helps me solve some of their problems. I get along easily with others and enjoy developing long-lasting relationships.

Because of my business ownership experience, I recognize the challenges my clients face. I understand immigration issues and the hesitations employers may have with these situations. I have empathy for both the employee and the employer and love helping them find solutions.

I grew up near the shores of Clearlake in the town of Finley, California on a pear farm. I'm a small-town kid who loves where he grew up, from the smells of the lake to the noise of pears being sprayed at night and everything in between. After high school, I attended Mendocino Community College and American River and studied business management.

My wife and I have two children with a third child on the way this year. My kids are my world, and my wife is my rock. I love playing sports and coaching my kids in soccer. I also like history, food, traveling, and watching movies.
