I took the opportunity to join Leavitt Recreation & Hospitality when they were searching for a claims manager to improve their customer service quality. My job has been a great fit because I can serve customers while working from home, which allows me to be there for my daughter affected by autism.

I love the environment we foster at Leavitt Rec, because we focus on family and work together in teams. I excel at finding solutions for my clients and translating complex insurance concepts into plain language for better understanding.

I have a long history of working to communicate complex topics, having worked as a part of the management team for two gubernatorial campaigns for the South Dakota Republican party, in addition to working as the Director of Operations for the South Dakota Secretary of State.

Early in my professional career, I served as an investigator for the South Dakota Division of Insurance, where I investigated and brought consumer claims to resolution. I also worked as a realtor with Century 21 Real Estate for over a decade and continue to be a small business owner.

I am a South Dakota native through and through. I grew up and graduated from high school in Pierre, South Dakota. Later, I graduated from South Dakota University with a degree in political science and have completed significant coursework towards a Master of Public Administration degree. Currently, I live in a college town, which has a great sports atmosphere and tons of activities.

My wife, Michelle, and I have been married for 30 years and have seven wonderful children. In my spare time, I enjoy photography and collecting political memorabilia.
