About Derek
Derek began his insurance career in underwriting, where he wrote property, casualty, and inland marine insurance for small businesses. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Ohio University and later received an MBA from Bowling Green State University. Derek joined the commercial lines team at Leavitt Group Midwest to help businesses stay financially protected against unexpected losses. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors, traveling, attending concerts, and visiting family and friends.
