Josh Gassen

I’ve been in the insurance industry for 17+ years and have significant experience in a handful of specialized industries. I earned my Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and work hard to be a highly trusted advisor who provides sound advice.

After working for large corporate insurance brokerages for most of my career, joining Leavitt Group was a big change, but also a great culture fit for my family and me. The advantage of having local ownership with the resources and support of a national brokerage is a huge benefit to my clients.

Community involvement is a big part of my life. I serve as board vice president of the Harrisburg Youth Wrestling Club and previously served on the Community Appeals Campaign: Veterans Community Project.

I grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and graduated from the University of South Dakota with two degrees – a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Public Administration.

My wife and I have been married for over 17 years and have four amazing sons. I love spending time with my family and coaching every sport my kids are a part of. If there is any free time left over, I enjoy golfing.
