Courtney Long

My motto is, “Being happy is a decision you make every morning before your feet hit the floor. No one can give it to you or take it away from you.”

I am a personal insurance advisor with Leavitt Group Texas Select, though I do dabble in business insurance as well! Some of my favorite clients are first time home buyers because I’m able to educate them a lot so they can make a wise choice for their first big investment. Most people who know me would probably say that I’m the queen of conversation and networking, which is true. I make friends like that, and all my clients come to me by referral or word-of-mouth. 

I’ve worked in the insurance industry since 2003 and after spending many years in it, it’s become near and dear to my heart. Leavitt Group is an especially fantastic company to work for. The company is built strictly on good morals, values, and integrity, and they take incredible care of everyone they encounter — whether it’s their clients or their own employees.

I was born in Germany but raised all over Texas. I’ve lived in almost every Texas area from east to west and north to south. I studied communications disorders at Texas Tech University before finally settling down in Katy, Texas. I’ve loved every second living in this close-knit community. The neighborhood I raised all my four daughters in still has block parties and all the neighbors know and support each other. 

In my spare time, I like to support the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) and our local Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR) chapters. I participated on the WCR board for many years, and also participate in many of the local networking groups.
