Myra Gales

My motto is, “Any job worth doing, is a job worth doing well.” I’m always willing to go the extra mile to find the best solution for my clients and I always do it with a positive attitude. 

I’m a health and life insurance agent, but I focus primarily on Medicare. I joined Leavitt Group because of the trust I have in the company. When I lived in California, I worked with a Leavitt Group agency to insure my own company. Then, after moving to Coos Bay, Nasburg Huggins helped me cover my personal insurance needs. When a job opening came up with the agency, I applied right away and have been a happy employee ever since!

As an agent, I’ve been honored to be awarded “Elite Agent for AARP/United Healthcare” and “2022 Marketplace Circle of Champions.” I’m also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Before working in insurance, I worked in HR management and helped trucking companies with OSHA compliance and safety training for over 30 years. Over the years, I’ve taken every imaginable course related to HR, accounting, benefits, safety, compliance, and insurance.

I grew up in Morgan Hill, California and married my high school sweetheart. We have one son and one grandson. In my spare time, I like to bake, walk on the beach, explore Oregon, read with my grandson, make stained-glass art, write poetry, and spend time at the local lakes on the 1959 Bell Boy boat that my husband restored.
