About Renae
Renae Dusenbury Waldman celebrates 30 years with the Dusenbury Agency, including 12 years as principal agent and co-owner. She has been voted “Best Insurance Agent” in the Tryon Daily Bulletin's "Favorites of the Foothills" competition since 2020. Renae is a regular participant and has presented at Nationwide’s annual Women in Leadership Summit.
A graduate of Tryon High School, Renae went on to earn a business administration degree in insurance and risk management from Appalachian State University. During her time there, she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi and Gamma Iota Sigma insurance fraternity.
Renae is deeply involved in her community. She founded the Polk County Volleyball Club nonprofit and served as its volunteer director for nine years. She also served nine years on the St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation, is a current board member of Polk Schools’ annual auction board Polk Cares 4 Kids, and a former board member of the Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce.
Renae is married to Ethan Waldman and they have two daughters.
