Diane Griffin Goldberg

In August of 2020, Griffin Owens Insurance decided to join Leavitt Group because their culture of educating clients aligned with ours, and they gave us the opportunity to better help our clients find insurance solutions. Because it’s a family business, I’ve worked here since I was 15. I’ve had several different positions at various places over the years, but I have always come back to Griffin Owens.

We strive to communicate the way our clients want to — phone, text, fax, video call, or website chat, we’re happy to talk however you want. This means we’re also on social media. I’ve loved learning about each platform, from Reddit to Tik Tok, and how to reach people and educate them or serve as a reference on insurance.

One thing that’s always been important to me is being active in the community. My favorite quote is one from my mother, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” I’ve followed her advice by being an active member of my community. 

I grew up as a Navy brat and moved around a lot until my family settled in Herndon, Virginia when I was 9 years old. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Insurance. I moved to New York City as a young adult and met my husband. We were married there but bought a home and raised our two children in McLean, Virginia.

McLean is a wonderful community! I’m close enough to DC to enjoy walking in Georgetown or go paddle boating on the Tidal Basin. Exercise is my favorite form of stress relief, and I especially like to run.
