Henry and Al Koetje opened Koetje Insurance in 1947, then merged Koetje Insurance with Leavitt Group Northwest in 2012. Joining Leavitt Group allowed us to remain local, while adding nationally recognized companies and a wealth of insurance resources. This means we can provide comprehensive coverage with competitive pricing.

For many years our office has been involved in the community and we take pride in our local connections. Over the past 30 years our employees have held positions on the board of directors for the Oak Harbor & Coupeville Chambers of Commerce, Soroptimist International, and various other community organizations.

Every year, we collect clothing and gifts for children and seniors in need during the holidays. We also regularly volunteer at our neighborhood schools and other community events. To date, we have donated over 3,700 books to local students to encourage family time and reading.

We are motivated to remain at the top of the insurance industry and take pride in increasing our knowledge through education. We partner with our clients to discuss their needs and possible insurance solutions, which allows them to make informed coverage decisions.

Steve Richardson Insurance Joins Leavitt Group Northwest as Steve Richardson Retires

Leavitt Group Northwest is pleased to announce Steve Richardson Insurance, and its co-owner Amber Reed, have affiliated with their agency coinciding with the retirement of Steve Richardson.  

“We feel honored that Steve and Amber have chosen to transition their agency to Leavitt Group Northwest.” said Bill Cowart, co-owner at Leavitt Group Northwest. “We are grateful for the opportunity to build on their success and hope Steve can enjoy retirement with plenty of time spent golfing and with family.”  

The office of Steve Richardson Insurance has relocated to the Leavitt Group Northwest location in Oak Harbor, Washington. Amber Reed will continue to be available to help clients at that location.
