Berkley Accident and Health’s Excellence in Health Risk Management is a certification for captive programs that recognizes their outstanding achievement in health risk management. Nominees are evaluated on their health risk strategy and their efforts to improve health care and lower costs for their employees and their health plan. The certification began in 2024, with recipients announced at the Berkley Captive Symposium in April.
Since 2022, Leavitt Great West’s Tribute captive has saved members over $6.8 million in medical and pharmacy spend. They have also experienced two times fewer large claims (over $250K) in their captive than other captive programs, and 2.3 times fewer large claims than other traditional stop-loss programs.
