About Jay
Jay Jamieson joined Leavitt Group as an insurance advisor in February 2009. He focuses on commercial insurance for the oil and gas industry, transportation risks, and large contractors. As part of Leavitt Group, Jay is able to provide his clients with unique resources to assist in their risk management needs, including an on-staff safety resource that is invaluable to the agency’s clients, and access to exclusive, industry-specific programs.
In 2012, Jay was selected as the New Producer of the Year by Leavitt Group. He was recognized as one of the top ten new Leavitt Group producers for three consecutive years. He has also earned placement in Leavitt Group’s Circles of Excellence, an award given to producers who achieve a certain level of sales each year.
Jay grew his book of business exponentially in fewer than three years after joining Leavitt Group, which he credits to the support of a great mentor, teamwork, diligence, and not being afraid to travel outside of the immediate geographic area to make a sale.

Prior to joining Leavitt Group, Jay was employed with New York Life. He has a degree in psychology and communications from the University of Great Falls in Great Falls, Montana. Jay grew up in Chinook, Montana, where his family owns and operates Jamieson Motors Inc., a Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep franchise established in 1942.
Jay is actively involved in a community organization called Big Brothers. He also serves as commissioner of Big Sky State Games.
