Jimmie Scrogum

Before my career in the insurance industry, I worked in a variety of industries — jewelry, banking, hotels, and construction, to name a few. This has given me a greater understanding of my clients and their needs. I always have their interests in mind and want to do what’s right for them. 

Our agency joined Leavitt Group in 2022. I love the culture of Leavitt Group and what they stand for. They are honest and always looking to serve and help others. Our cultures and values align, which made partnering with them an easy choice.

In keeping with our Leavitt Group culture and my love of community involvement, I lead our agency’s Turkey Box Fund, a non-profit organization that coordinates with local school districts, churches, counseling services, food crisis centers, and more to find families in need of a Thanksgiving dinner each year.

I grew up in Moab, Utah, and later attended Dixie State College (now Utah Tech University) and the University of Utah where I studied organizational communications. I’ve been married for over 30 years and have four children and seven grandchildren. I love sports, the outdoors, and camping with my family. 

My life’s mantra is the Golden Rule: Treat others as you would want to be treated.
